Got the new stator installed in the WRR yesterday so decided to go for a shakedown ride out to Farmingdale. When I got out there I noticed quite a few trail markers that I had not seen before. Also a couple "No Motorized Vehicle" signs I hadn't seen before. Based on the new signage, it looks like maybe they are going to start enforcing a MVUM out there. I had to do some google searches to even find the MVUM for Farmingdale, but looks like it has been in place since 2010(?) and I didn't know it.

These 4x4 guys got a warning last month. Course they were playing in the mud which is just asking for a ticket imo.

You can download the MVUM here, "Fall River Ranger District". Farmingdale is in South Dakota but you have to go to the Nebraska Forest Service web site to find the map. Logical, huh?  ???

As one of the guys said, there are areas for cross country travel and those that are not. If they were in an area not designated as cross country travel, they would have been in violation. Someone else also stated that tearing it up in the mud is a huge no-no in any governmental holding. Its destruction or resources. I don't most folks will have any problems. I would like to get hands on a hard copy of that map. It is very hard to find info on Rail Road Buttes area. Thanks for posting the MVUM info.
Did I ever tell you: " I HATE MUD!" ?
