Title: Just got this....Kudos to the Northern Hills
Post by: Lonesome Dave on April 24, 2015, 09:15:16 PM
Just received this from Dave Hague, member of the Off-Road Riders Association.  This looks like some good news.  Might be a good idea to send thanks to the people listed below.  If you do, be sure and say your from DDSR.  LD

Greetings folks,

Wanted to share with you all some of the progress we are seeing out "on the trail"...the attached documents are a proposed single track addition to rectify one of the omissions on the record of decision, Northern Hills is also reworking a section of trail 89 (trail open for 62") between Dalton Lake and Nemo that is in a poor location and is experiencing some excessive erosion, two projects aimed at improving rider experience; seems like all we ever hear about is complaints about our foresters, and when it is a legitimate complaint we need to call them out and when they are out there doing good things on our behalf...we need to step up and make the  our positive comments too!
Please take a few moments and send kudos to Bonnie Jones, bjjones@fs.fed.us and to Rhonda O'Byrne, rlobyrne@fs.fed.us of the Northern Hills District.

Note; For some reason I was not able to attach 3 pdf files.  Called Hank is going to work on it.  So see the attached files in the next post.

It's going to be a pretty long stretch of single track if they open it.

There's still at least 1 single track in the Johnson Siding area that was on the record of decision map and is not open yet. Hopefully that will get marked in the next year or two.
