Title: A Canadian(s) in the Badlands
Post by: Bogus Jim on May 19, 2016, 02:32:55 PM
Played hooky from work and went riding with the guys from Canada yesterday. I was going to post a DDSR invite but I didn't figure out we were going until 9pm the night before.

As usual I got lost on the Farmingdale loop, so I said "hey guys this looks like a good place to take photos".

Fashion tip from Bogus Jim: wear pants that are 6 inches too short, it makes you look taller.

It was a good day of riding.

P.S. Shinko 705's suck in the mud
P.S.S Gas station at Scenic is open again
P.S.S.S Rice Honda does not have any Africa Twins yet

Thanks for sharing the pics.  I went "up" to Sheep Mountain once, kind of a fun little path.  That is until you meet an enormous RV that's on it's way back down and way past its capabilities. :o

Such a great view! Planning on getting back out there in 2 weeks or so.

Jim, next time you want to play hooky on Wednesdays or Fridays, let me know. Open to ride most of the time on those days.

Crazy...was there at the exact same time.  Got the hotline from a ranger, grabbed a topo from the gift shop and jumped in on the first dirt road South of Scenic.  The river beds where amazing.
