Chain adjustment and sprocket alignment.

Not sure how you all do it but this is a great straight forward way of accomplishing the ever so important adjustment.

that is the method I use. when finished I put the bike on a center stand and see where the chain gets the closest to the swingarm, and how far away it is at that point. I mark the swingarm and use that for all future adjustments, works great. KTM require a huge amount of slack for some reason?

The 955i Tigers also need a HUGE amount of slack. There is not much tolerance either way on it as well. Too lose it starts ticking on the teeth. To tight and it binds.

I've had experienced KLR guys tell me that the recommended slack (1.5", top to bottom) is not enough. Particularily if you're going off road. I try to keep the chain loose enough to touch the bottom of the swingarm when unloaded.
