Travel Plan for North Dakota National Grasslands

The U.S. Forest Service is developing a new travel plan for the Medora and McKenzie districts of the National Grasslands. Check out the link http://www.fs.fed.us/r1/dakotaprairie/ . They have maps and tables of actions for different roads and trails. Many of the existing roads and trails are proposed to be closed. Please contact them and ask to keep as many trails open as possible. Also suggest developing new trails. New trails can be developed under the plan. I spoke to Paula Johnston in the Bismarck office. She was helpful and listened to what I had to say. There is a lot of excellent riding in the North Dakota badlands. Help us to preserve it.
