Last sunday, I was in Rapid City. I had our mini van and two boys and 2 hrs to kill. I took them up to dinosaur park and then thru skyline drive. I was more than a little suprised how hard the vertigo hit me. I was trying to drive and look over the edge and the pucker factor just kicked in! There were a couple of blind corners that were wet and steep. I met a guy on a sherpa as he was turning around. It appeared he thought otherwise. I wonder if I'll be able to handle riding in the hills at the summer rally!
I get vertigo pretty bad at times, but I happen to work on skyline drive...I'm glad it doesn't hit me every day driving to work, that would suck. ;D
Today was interesting coming up the hill with the fresh snow over a layer of frozen rain. :o
I would venture to say that the mini van was probably the cause and I am not knocking the mini van. We get you on a bike up there and you will probably be leaning into the corners dragging a peg.
