Title: Recommendations for parking the camper for a week?
Post by: Hank on April 04, 2010, 07:54:13 PM
I'm looking for the "best" campground in the Hills to pull the camper out for a week.   By best I mean off the highway and a little "woodsie" but with hookups.   Central Hills, or anywhere really.  FF / Wild Bills are a bit too close to the Highway I think.  Suggestions?

Sheridan has some nice RV sites and Pactolas are not bad. Other than that there are not many I know of that are not just off a highway of some type.

Yeti, nice.  That would be a fantastic camping experience.

Thanks for the advice.  I think the wife is honed in on the rafter j

For RV hookups, I'd say the KOA near horsethief.  Gets you near the best hikes and views in the hills down around Harney.  Best short hike: little devil's tower.

Otherwise, Black Fox?
