The forest circus closes trails/roads due to rally?!

I moved to sturgis about 2 months ago, the dirt road (171.1) I usually take to the camp 5 trails is gated off! It's seasonal but supposed to be open May 15 to dec 15 what's the deal with this? Is this normal for rally time? A bunch of dew rag wearers are screwing up my weekend ride! Lol
