Title: flat on freeway :O :O
Post by: Jared on September 18, 2008, 01:20:48 AM
So I'm coming home to Sundance from Rapid tonight (after a sweet tech session at Jeff's place with Chad) ... about a mile out from town while still on the freeway the bike starts to feel a little squirrely so I slow down and keep going, just wondering if maybe the road has some imperfections I can't see 'cuz it's dark.
Keep going, get to surface streets and I feel even more wishy-washy ... ok, now I KNOW something is wrong ... slow down enough and hear the tell-tale "phup phup phup" ........ fuuuuccckkkkk .... well I limp the rest of the way home and sure enough my rear tire if f-f-f-f-flat!

Holy moley I'm just glad it didn't happen further from home. :o

Glad you made it and that sucks. Did you ruin the tire and if so do you have a spare? The one I took off dose not have much left but you are welcome to it if you need it.

Lucky you were able to limp it home!! Flat tires always suck. Jason is bringing a set of tire irons and I have a patch kit so hopefully were covered.  ;D
