FS: 82 XJ 650

Up for sale is an 82 Yamaha XJ 650 Maxim. 23,000ish miles. Runs good but needs carb kits. Good tires. After markey Dunstall exhaust. 4 cylinder. Recovered seat. Sissy bar. XJ 750 handle bars. paint not great due to having tank bags on. Added air shocks from a XJ 750 to the rear. Replaced fork seals in 09. Valve check last year and spot on. Didn't ride it after that. I had pulled the carbs and cleaned them but found they need kits so threw them back together. I start it once in a while to keep the parts lubed and free. May need brakes soon.

I'm probably forgetting something. Just ask.

I really like the bike but its way too short legged for me. Its got good power and the shaft drive is sweet. It would make a great project.

Would like to sell to fund a soon to be found smaller DS.

Would like to see 800 bucks out of it but would be l willing trade if you have something interesting. Try me.

This bike left my garage this morning for it's new home. Got 900 bucks out of it. One step closer to my next bike.
