Title: Documentary
Post by: Fletch on October 06, 2020, 08:48:37 AM
In Minneapolis with new for the week and picked up an old men's journal from July '18.  Pretty interesting article about some army vets riding through the Darien gap.  Appears they made a film.  Might be good??

Sounds interesting. I thought only like two crossings have been made. Maybe its exaggerated?

I'm not sure what technically counts as a crossing ?  Sounds like they ended up hauling the bikes out?

Just saw a little clip with Helge Pederson (sp?) who took a BMW thru the gap in the early 80's - that dude is one bad ass!

Took something like 3 weeks and a mile a day to claw his way through the jungle with the help of one other dude.

Look it up on YouTube sometime

If so, I think they had to leave one there in the jungle.  Low mileage one owner.

Don't recall where I read about it but was a good read.
