Title: Black hills law enfocement
Post by: Fletch on June 22, 2021, 09:22:16 AM
thought I would share my discussion with two deputies last Saturday. They said they would "most likely not ticket you" if you came off a trail and rode gravel for a short distance to get back on a trail with a non-street legal bike. But, if you travel any distance other than trail to trail they would "definitely ticket you". said they are cracking down on the side by side problems and that you will "see a lot more of us" on the back roads this year. They added that it is best to be street legal and have proof of insurance. just an FYI... the good old days appear to be gone...

Interesting info. I was wondering about that and it's still a step up for me.  Thanks.

Being that I'm new around here I jumped all over the opportunity to plate my dirt bike.  Where I came from it's very difficult to pull that off.

Here it is very easy to plate your off road bike. Basically, in my city, just sign an affidavit saying it has what it needs.
