I like the date and I say we keep it in the Black Hills area.

N S E W it doesn't matter.  all the riding is awesome (but i sure wouldn't mind fish n fry for the June Rally).

Dates work for me (AFAIK), and the FnF would be fine with me...they treat us right!

Count me in.........
I like FnF as well. They have those smallish rooms (for those of us that "need" a real bed) for about $35/night.
Maybe I'll have my 351cc big bore kit on my KLX by then........ :o                             JoniJo

I'll try my hardest to attend whenever it is.
I do like the idea of it being back at FNF.  They seem pretty tolerant of our child like behavior.  The price is right.  The fact that there's a place to land a helicopter nearby is another bonus.

That seems like it would work for Jake and I. I've got a brother who bought a new KLR last summer who is thinking about the ride as well. He is a novice off road (like I'm not), but I told him only experienced riders get hurt.

Hadn't heard much on this thread so I thought I'd post sumthin....

As many of you know...my KLX250 is now a KLX330.  :o Decided to go dry sleeve as opposed to wet sleeve. I (I mean my mechanic friend) also added a pumper carb for a "little" better throttle response. It Rocks!!!! Feels like a whole new bike!  :evil

Now I can leap tall buildings in a single bound.....yeah, whatever....... :o

Really looking forward to seeing y'all in June.................................................................. Joni

So are we going to stay at FNF. If so, do they have a place for a toy hauler there with hook ups?

My wife and daughter will just be coming home the 17th, so i cant make it for the full event. I hope to come up, but it might be just for the day on Saturday. Once again, the summer is booking up too full.

Hey All!

Just so you know, I plan on taking care of all the arrangements again this year. Unless of course, someone had a problem with how I did things last year (helicopter rides don't count  :P).

I'll put up an Official Sign-Up thread in the near future and will take care of the reservations with FnF then.

Yeti

P.S. You ain't gonna get me to go through Camp 5 this time around....no sir, not gonna do it.   ;D

Seems like Yeti would be the perfect spotter for everyone in Camp 5. He can tell you where no to go.  ::)

I found a couple other trails he might like that are not nearly as flat as camp 5.

sounds good chad.  we may have to make it a KLR only trail though to cut down on the carnage and injuries.

The "roll eyes/these guys are too much" smiley is not working ???

The software is designed so that it won't permit the use of that particular smiley in a manner disrespectful to KLR owners/comments.

Or maybe it's just broken and has never worked right.   :P

Hank -

I'm planning on being there.

Don't know if I'll do the tent or the cabin thing.  When do we need to let you know or is this something we arrange directly with FNF?

Hey Brad, when the date gets closer we'll do an official sign up thread, and one of us (Yeti?) will warn the FnF!

Hope we can ride out together again!  You on the TA again or has that been converted to a diesel by now?

Doh, sorry just read the Moab thread.  Congrats on the move and DRZ!

Hank -

It's sad....  I've had ZERO time in my shop this past winter as I've had to stay focused on house projects so we could wrap up this spring and put it on the market.  So no diesel TA.  No DRZ up-grades.

The next TA project is to paint and mount the rebuilt fairing.

The next DRZ project is to install a manual cam chain tensioner and some plating.  I did, however, find a couple of minutes to build a cushy touring seat to replace that nasty plank that came on it.

FnF is warned and ready for us!  I'll post up the sign-up thread very soon.

Hey all,
I'm new to the group and would love to join you all on this rally. My concern is the difficulty of the terrain to be ridden and wondering if there are others that ride large adventure touring machines. I have recently taken ownership of a Triumph Tiger and this would be the machine I would be riding. I'm a pretty fair rider but a machine this size has its limits as do the Anakee tires on it.
Am hoping in the future, maybe next year to land a KLR for these more dualsport adventures.

I ride a GS adventure, so I'm not getting to wild with it (yet)

there are usually groups that hit different types of trail depending on their craziness and the bikes they are riding.  bring your triumph.  you will have a blast, guaranteed.

Hey great buffalo... yes absolutely, come join the fun.     We've had all sizes and types of bikes.

Sounds good guys. I just a have to make sure the weekend at work is covered for that weekend and I'm in. That could take a couple weeks to confirm.
Sounds like a blast, hope I can make it.
