Looking for a decent dualsport...

I have come to the conclusion that I can no longer afford to keep replacing knobbies on my GSA every 2-3000 miles, so I'm looking for a bike to hit the woods with.  Don't care about the make really, but I'm thinking 400 cc range, 4 stroke, prefer electric start (though not deal breaker), dont care about cosmetics, wanting to spend under 2 grand.  I've been watching the paper and craigslist, but if you good folks hear of anything, let me know.
