Title: Tenere first off-road ride
Post by: Black Hills Back Country on October 21, 2014, 10:19:21 AM
Hey guys,

I put the basic (mandatory) farkles on the Tenere yesterday and took her out for a test ride.  I put a skid plate, crash bars, and had the dealer put a set of TKC80s on it as part of the deal.  I gotta say, it looks pretty awesome!  A friend and I took the KLR and the Tenere on a quick tour of the Northern Hills.  We ran up Tinton Road, Cement Ridge, and a few smaller trails along the way.  The Tenere is a big heavy bike but it blew my mind how agile and sure footed it was on some of the rougher trails we ran down.  I wouldn't want to take it on real rough single track but I wouldn't be scared to run it down any fire trail in the hills.  I swapped over to the KLR for a little bit of the ride and after riding the Tenere I felt like I was riding a TW. ;D.  I'm hoping to get a few more rides in before the white stuff starts to fly.

The KLR and the Tenere seem to be getting along.

Looks like she's at home in the woods.

It's gotta be heavy if it makes the KLR seem like a TW.   :D
