Title: Better lighting
Post by: flexlarson on May 19, 2015, 11:27:55 PM
I added a cree light to my klx
It's so bright.
Pretty simple and a world of difference.
Picked it up on Amazon.  While I was at it I made a on off switch for main headlight.
Thought u guys would like this.

That's cool.   I'd like to make my 200 street legal without spending 200 plus on a dual sport kit.

I think i could get by with that light:

A tail/brake light like this:

http://www.amazon.com/Rupse-Motorcycle-Kawasaki-Choppers-Scooters/dp/B00F38NG2S/ref=sr_1_2?s=automotive&ie=UTF8&qid=1432160636&sr=1-2&keywords=tail+brake+light

A pressure switch:

http://www.amazon.com/Baja-Designs-Sport-Brake-Switch/dp/B002OMPX4K/ref=sr_1_fkmr0_1?s=automotive&ie=UTF8&qid=1432160703&sr=1-1-fkmr0&keywords=brembo+pressure+switch

and a switch somewhere and a double take mirror and be good to go.

Oh, and a horn, but I don't need no steeenkin horn.

And I think since the XC-W already has the EXC wiring harness, there might be a switch already up behind the number plate.

This probably should be in the ktm thread, but were talking about lighting hear so..............

Does anyone know for sure the threads and or bolt size for the rear master cyl on the ktm 200.  The following link says 10mm http://www.amazon.com/KTM-BRAKE-LIGHT-SWITCH-50311051100/dp/B00CIY2ZEA/ref=pd_sim_sbs_263_6?ie=UTF8&refRID=0NBWZG190RK55WYR1ESR

In Hank's link above there's a brembo and nissin.  Both say 10mm bolt size, but the threads are different.  I just want to make sure.  I'm going to order the above switch if its the right threads.  It appears its correct, and the internet never lies! LD

So that's M10x1.00

Upgraded headlight.  Robbed light from girlfriends bike a light from my off-road truck and modded it to fit its brighter than stock and draws less. I think it kinda looks ugly though. Why u guys think ?
