2016 Trans South Dakota Adventure Trail Sign up Thread
Plan: Meet up at Ryani or Greatbuffalo's place (in Mitchell) on evening of the 26 (May) or in the earlier morning of the 27th. Grill out or whatever you want to do that night, have a frew bews. Morning of the 27th, pack up and possibly have a departure breakfast at a TBD joint. Depart after that, hopefully no later than 9:30am.
Due to the potential of such a large group, it was discussed that we may need to split up into smaller groups of 4-5 as to cut down on dust for the poor souls in the back
First night I think we should be able to make it to Gross NE or somewhere along the Missouri River (S. Scalp Creek Recreation Area) by the end of the first night. We are taking the southern route, so I think we should be able to make it to Midland SD the second night. I'm not sure for accommodations there, but there is the Stropple Inn, and also the city park. Last night's stay is really up in the air.

5/23/2016 edit: Those meeting for Breakfast are to meet at 0745 at Marlins, those eating elsewhere or riding in, in the morning. Meet at Marlins at 0830 and we can leave as a group by 0900.

No, you didn't miss anything. The rendezvous location is in Mitchell on the 26th, so we can get a good early start on Friday the 27th.

Regretfully backing out of this ride. I hope you guys have a great ride and make me regret my decision.
I unfortunately will not be able to make this ride this weekend. :'(
I also don't feel like risking the weather. I am into adventure riding but don't feel like risking adventure grinding. Hope it all works well for you guys. Have a great safe trip.
Looking at tonight's sunset I think the weather could make some of the best photo ops of the summer. Hope I don't slow everybody down taking pictures. :)
