Had a good look around the prototype for the new proposed XT700Z at Motorcycle Live in Birmingham (England) the other day. I wonder if it will grace the lands of Trumpton when it comes out in 2018 as you were never lucky enough to have the XT660Z? I have virtually drooled over this machine.
If the production bike weighs as little as the concept bike... could be a game changer.
Yamaha, I'm not getting any younger. If you don't get this bike out soon my riding days will be over.
+1^ ;D
I only one beef with this bike............ the seat. It is the same seat as found on the WRFs. It would be the first thing to go.

That's why Russell stays in business.....it's a conspiracy ;D
And such is the delema. Make it comfortable and it is bigger. Make it nimble and it gets more
Uncomfortable. The proper tool depends on the job at hand. There is no bike that works great on single track and the highway. The sacrifices you make are up
To you.
Hope it comes in yellow so I can have a matched set.🙂

Cattle prices must be up! I'm telling Bonnie your lusting again.
Looks like I am safe to lust on this one. At least a year or two before it
hits our shores if ever. Might have the the Super wore out by then.

I thought the 700 would be for Bonnie? :)

Perfect! My current Super Tenere will be about wore out by then, and I will probably be old enough to need a down sized ADV bike.
3 years................. What is Yamaha thinking.....................
I'm guessing they will see how it does elsewhere. the US market is a bit fickle when comes to "not the most powerful bike in its class" will the 700 sell as well as it's big brother? as usual "everyone" wants it, but how many will buy it?
And it edges ever closer... (https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20171108/0d5ffd035028da364541b9e9809a0d63.jpg)(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20171108/fd3210f5f2cff71161251b296dec21ec.jpg)(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20171108/0cec9542bce0b9ea542f4ac676648ecd.jpg)
