Title: trip to the Hills
Post by: mike1952 on April 20, 2009, 06:37:16 AM
We will be in the Hills during the last part of June visititing friends in Sturigis.  I plan to ride some dirt with my son on our TTR230s.  Do I need to re-jet? We are also going to Cooke City Mt (near Yellowstone 8500ft) what jet should we use?.

i took a ttr225 out to the hills last summer that was jetted for sea level.  it did just fine with the stock jets.  if you give it a lot of throttle at very low rpm's it may load up because of running rich, but mine ran fine.  at 8500 feet, it will be running pretty rich because of less 02, and i'm sure it would run better if you rejetted, but i'm not sure that i would rejet because it's a little bit of a hassle.
