Yes, it is good to see Cody Webb back riding.  And riding back at his normal high level.  That being said, the win has to feel a little tarnished knowing Little Manny was penalized heavily for missing a route addition while leading.  Note that Colton Hakar also missed the same route change while running third overall.  Seems like the event organizers or the teams should have better alerted the four very tired riders on their final lap of the reroute.

Wait that's part of the competitions design, to have the skill set to stay on a changing route. 🙂

I don't think route changes prove any kind of skill. I get riding skills through tough terrain and tricky navigation, but to through in route seems pointless. I do understand that changes need to be made for safety and other reasons, in that situation make sure all riders are aware ahead of time. There was route change mix up in the Africa Eco race. Those that followed the route change added substantial time to the stage where those few that were not aware of the route change had no penalty.  Seemed quite strange.
Set a route and leave it.
