Title: The Hills got a little better today

My new to me 17 Africa Twin. Between it and my old CRF450x, I can find plenty of trouble now.

I'm partial to that model and color...being I have the same.

Hopefully it's got something better than the factory rubber on it.
All the best....

I don't know what Honda sent this bike out of the factory with.  It has Mitas E-07 tires on it now. I think they're ok but I wouldn't have bought them. I used to run a Dunlop 908RR on the rear of my KTM 950 and an MT21 on the front. Low mileage but very good stick everywhere.  I think I'll grab a set of Kenda K270 for it and see how that goes. They worked well on the KLR.

Sprout had the kendas on his at one time. Claimed decent results for a great price. Not sure what he's got now.
Another guy I know had the kendas and didn't want to run them again. Claimed wasn't suited for the bikes 'heft'.
I went with Dunlop trailmax missions.
Factory on my 17 were Dunlop D610 A heavy street biased design well suited for lack of traction when you really wanted it off pavement.

That's probably true.

YMMV...
But the biggest rear size is still smaller than factory size.
Price was attractive...but ultimately I went with what I did because of who rides with me.
Plus I'm not at a Sprout riding level yet.

Tire choice rabbit hole is huge and what got me to take my mind off recovery.
