I figured out where the setting was for editing your own posts.   Permissions were correct, but there was another setting that locked posts after XXX seconds.   That has been resolved!

I figured out why youtube videos weren't embedding.

['youtube]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3AM2rqvQeTY&feature=youtu.be['/youtube]

You need to remove the "s" from https:// show above.     Change it to http://
