I have read there are more sizes coming out this summer. I'm sure they just get a couple of the most popular sizes first to test market share @ lower production costs.

I'm thinking about de-catting my exhaust.  Maybe not right away, but probably next winter.  Anyone else done it or thinking about it?

The advantage is less heat.  No thermonuclear reactor next to your right ankle.

Did a fair amount of reading on it and it sounds like the efi can adapt to a de-cat and a slip on without the addition of a power commander.    I'm up the air on a slip on.  I don't want a lot of noise, but the stock muffler does sound a bit scooterish.

I removed the cat.  Less heat is the only difference I've noticed.

Did you cut / weld the pipe, or just gouge it out from the end?

Fletch

Knocked it out, took about an hour?

I've been thinking I'd cut it out and clamp or weld in a cheater pipe so its reversible, but that's quite a bit of extra work.
Do you  have a slip on?

Fletch

No, still stock if I can Find a slip on that is quiet I would. Stock is heavy but all the art market stuff is pretty loud.  Noise annoys me anymore for some reason?

I was sitting at a stop light yesterday and I thought I lost a rod bearing.  All the sudden I could hear a really nasty rattle.  Turns out there was a Harley 2 cars behind me.
