Going to be near Rapid this weekend. Looking for ride recommendations/partners.

I am going to be staying at Placerville camp while my wife is at a teaching retreat there. I haven't ridden in the area but I see there are tons of trails right near there. Where do I need to go to buy my trail pass deal? What trails might suit a first gen KLR650 with some dirt oriented mods and a moderately experienced rider? And is anyone going to be out in that area and maybe want to meet up?

We will probably do breakfast at the Sugar Shack on Hwy 385 & Rochford Road at 0900 hours.  Keep an eye on the above thread to be sure.  Kind of waiting to see what the weather does.  You should find a riding buddy or two after breakfast.  At the very least some good ideas.

Just go west on Hwy 44 from Placerville until you get to Hwy 385.  Turn right (north) on 385 until you reach Sugar Shack (about 4 miles).
