Will be interesting to see if Yamaha even brings the T7 state side. It will also be interesting to see the price difference between these two bikes and the comparison between the maintenance intervals.

I sure hope it comes to us it would really round out my garage wr250f , T7, Super Tenere
I've No idea where I'm going, That's no reason to be late.

While waiting for the T700 I traded off the DR650 for a used FZ-07 with the same motor the T700 and that motor is totally awesome. I expect Yamaha dealers are going to be swamped by riders wanting to trade in their dual sports for the T700.

looking at the latest it looks like a sweet bike i don't think i can get the first year bike but maybe by 2020 when it comes out i may not be able to wait another year..

We've been waiting and talking about this for 2 years and now they say another 2 years. Yamaha really dropped the ball on this big time. It looks like a great bike but it may never make to us. KTM will have there 790 here by spring, bet they sell a bunch. Also read the Kawasaki might have a KLR replacement next year. Glad I bought the Beta and didn't wait for the Yamaha. Guess we can all go out and get a 3 wheeled Yamaha scooter in the mean time.

It is unbelievable how long Yamaha is taking to ship this bike. And they already had the motor! You'd think wrapping a new frame around the MT-07 engine just wouldn't take that long.

Looks to me like they are testing the water before they jump in. If it does well in the EU we might get it. There might be a lot of options by the time it gets here. When you look at the KTM 790 specs it checks more boxes than the T700 does when I compare it to the ST as a 200 pound lighter replacement. But in 2 years the T700 specs may be a lot different.

I think this is the biggest bunch of BS any manufacturer has dreamed up. They announced the mid weight nearly two years ago and paraded concepts around the world. Then cricketts.........

Then they come out with the videos wetting everyone's appetite as it it was ready for manufacture. Then they tell us its going to be another 2 years. You wonder if the people at Yamaha work only two hours a day, 2 days a week, and 2 months a year.

Come on Yamaha, get the f****** program

Well I'm finally sane enough to come and read the boards about the T7.  I'm with Leofishbear.  I don't know if I can wait!!  Did anyone research the KTM 790?  It looks sweet, but what do y'all think about having the gas tanks in such a seemingly vulnerable position low slung on the sides.  Maybe it's a good deal, and definitely keeps the center of gravity lower.  I'm curious to see the redesigned KTM 690 enduro.
No matter where you go, there you are...
