Stopped into the Forest Service today - Victoria Lake area and China Gulch are now "more open" by about 75%.   I plan on getting in there over the 4th

This will be a couple of "Noobie-Virgin" 4 hour rides thru the hills with a International friend who's passing thru the Hills on a US tour and maybe a local 1st timer. 

I doubt we'll get to fast gravel; we might be lucky and progress to get to slow 2-track
