Hank

Finally got around to ordering all the crap for my high fender conversion.  No more locked front wheel from clay packing or fenders breaking loose on steep downhills!

Thanks to the Orange Crush I got the whole works together for almost exactly half what the kit costs from KTM.   Still 100% KTM parts, it's just I had to punch in 12 part numbers instead of 1.  I guess that was worth saving $170!

i'm happy for you jason.  i felt pretty bad for you watching that damn thing cake up with clay out in the badlands.  plus after seeing some adventures with the high fender, they look pretty good.  form and function.  right up my alley (as you can see by my beautiful steed).

I plan to mount this baby up tomorrow.  Pictures will follow.

The Yeti

Where did you order the parts list for the high fender from, Hank? When I load them all up at KTMWorld.com the total is close to $210...I thought you got it for considerably less than that.

I think it was around $200, but to buy the "kit" from KTM it's close to $350 or maybe even a little more.
I'll try to find the link to it, but I know there is a cheaper brake line that actually works better.  I think it would save close to $60.  There are also a couple other issues with the parts I used that took some creative fabrication.  I can detail all that when you get close to buying.

I saw a couple guys on ADV that said it could be done for around $130....not sure how, though.  ???

That'd be awesome! Let me know what you find out.

Here is the thread I started in the OC to find help with the brake line routing.

http://www.advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=384401

It also has the PN for the brake line with the straight end, which would help a bunch, and it has pictures of the bracket I made for the right side brake line routing.   This winter I'd like to make up a decent bracket - the one I made works fine but it is crude as hell.   If I get that done I'll make up a second for me favorite Yeti  :)

Cheaper brake line with straight end (from post 16):
